Christmas dinner
Before I say anything, YES, I doooo realise that Tumblr is actually for ‘Tumblelogs’ and not real blogs, but I really CANNOT be bothered to do the whole Wordpress thing (you see, I’m not that good with coooodes), PLUS, Blogger’s just a bit shit. Innit.
So I really don’t care - I’m going to blog on here like there’s no tomorrow. Or something not far from that.
We had Christmas dinner tonight. I’m typing rather clumsily due to my current drunken state. We were going to have turkey but there was something DRAMATICALLY wrong with the oven in Flat 14 GSB which resulted in the turkey breast thing being STILL COLD after 2 hours! Soooo we had a meatless feast instead. And you know what? It was rather gorgeous. I made the mash (BEAUTIFUL, as everyone agreed) and the green beans (also delicious!) and I peeled the potatoes for roasting which were lovely although they also weren’t cooked due to the DAMN OVEN.
It really was a lovely dinner though, and I must thank Lee A LOT for buying all the ingredients and going to a big effort. Lovely of him. I wonder if he reads this…
I bought my mum Gavin & Stacey for Christmas, and as I was removing the security tag thaaaang, the plastic thing came off. Sooooo, I watched it! Well, it has series 3 on there you see, and that hasn’t finished airing on TV yet. And it was really beautiful. I was watching the end of the last episode with such a grin on my face. It felt so right. They wrote it well, truth be told.
And now it’s time for me to retire to my humble bed. Byeeee.
