So here it is …
Merry Christmas! Everybody’s having fun …
Yeah, the countdown’s looking rather slim by now - 4 days and the turkey will be history and a bitta bones.
I worked yesterday, in the Stables! Yes, I’m baaaaack to help out over Christmas. Waiting on tables. Drying the cutlery (there’s a machine to do that, but nooo we have to do it by hand when it’s quiet). Taking steaming hot plates out to ungrateful customers. All so I can get my £4.80 an hour (with unpaid breaks). I need the money though!
Oh well, I loved it in the summer, and I really enjoyed it yesterday too! It’s a nice job, and it’s all Christmassy there right now - the food, the decorations, etc.
So poor Joe McElderry didn’t get the Christmas Number 1. Oh, don’t misunderstand me, I’m not really a fan of the X Factor getting the Number 1 spot every year - I think it should go to something actually festive. But I made an exception this year - I LOVE JOE. Oh well, let’s hope he gets to Number 1 next week - he deserves it! Also… from the Times Online, “Anyway, for the record, ‘I’m straight,’ he sighs.”
NO WAY is he straight. Come on. Bless him. Awww.
He’s number 1 on iTunes now. Damn saboteurs.
Drove to the dentist today (15 miles away) and back, and I’ve got to go there again in an hour or so cause my brother has an appointment there! What a hassle. I think I’ll go to Tesco as well, to get some Champagne for Christmas Day. I saw some in Tesco Metro in Manchester for £10. I wonder if they’ll have it in Ruthin…
I’m working New Year’s Eve, but only until 6. But I have nothing to do, so it looks like I’ll be spending it alone at home. I would have liked to go to Manchester, but 6 is too late, plus I have work on New Year’s Day, from 2 until closing time. Yikes.
I got my text books through the mail - Biology by Campbell & Reece and Molecular Biology of the Cell by Alberts et al. They’re VERY thick, and the paper they’re printed on is VERY thin! Some heavy reading for me this Christmas!
It’s looking promising for a white Christmas this year - everywhere’s covered in snow, and with only two days to go, and it still being painfully cold, I’m quite hopeful for a realisation of Bing Crosby’s dream.
I’ve been terrible with Christmas presents this year - I bought gifts for both my parents and then didn’t have enough money for my brother and sister. I got a DVD of the entire series of Gavin & Stacey for my mother and a Europe travel book for my dad. I watched my mum’s DVDs (shamefully), as it has the current series on it as well - I wanted to know how it ends!
Well that’s it! Merry Christmas, Tumblr! Might blog tomorrow (not that anyone reads my posts anyway!), we’ll see. If not, have a wonderful day on Thursday, and lots of really really nice gifts. Bye-bye.
